I had a great time at AZ this year! Despite being without a table, a few of you recognized me walking around which was awesome! X3 I hope everyone at the Artist Alley did well, you guys had wonderful work all around! Also super glad I was able to chat/hang with Firefly Raye Studios, Paprika Studios, Plush Puddi, Marzipan, NoFlutter, Priceless Companions, Spoonful of Cats, Zombie Romance, Nattosoup and the rest of you amazing artists throughout the weekend (let me know if I forgot to mention anyone!)
Next stop, LibrariCon 2015 coming in September! I will be working on getting a few new things made during the summer, so expect this page to be updated slightly more frequently than it has been so far this year TvT As always thanks for your support and stay tuned!
While still in the con spirit, I took the liberty of updating my Artist Alley 101 tutorial journals! I saw the quality of artists and their swag at AZ and got a lot of really great tips from them on how they've been making such amazing stuff! So I have revised my journals to include some of that great info. Go check it out if you like, starting with part 1 here
Artist Alley 101: The Basics/Applying for a Table Artist Alley 101: A Practical and Fun Guide to Selling Your Art at Conventions
Hello everyone! After being a member of several artist alleys for many years, I thought I should share my knowledge with you in a practical and (hopefully) fun guide!
This is meant to be a good start for those who have never been a part of an artist alley before, as well as a nice refresher to those of you who are veterans of alleys everywhere! I will try to be as detailed as possible while making the information easy to reference and read through!
I will be submitting this in parts with links to the previous and next parts. I also am working on getting more pictures up so you can have visual references as well!
Hope you enjoy, and feedback is definitely appreciated! Let me know your thoughts, reactions, some of your own alley stories, as well as suggestions I can add! I definitely haven't thought of everything, so if you have new ideas to share, I'd love to hear them!
Let's get started!
And as for the rest of the summer, I'll still be focusing on research for my graduate thesis (scary!) but I really want to make some new art and post it, even if it's mainly sketches and wips. Because I used to do that and I don't know why I stopped So I'll hopefully get on that soon.
